Maternal and Child Health Program

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Program at Sik-E-Dakh Health Society is committed to supporting the health and well-being of pregnant First Nations individuals, as well as parents and caregivers of infants and young children. Our goal is to promote healthy pregnancies and support optimal child development, laying the foundation for strong, resilient families and communities.

We provide culturally safe, family-centered care tailored to meet the unique needs of Indigenous families. The program offers services to Indigenous pregnant women and families with children under the age of seven, and is available to clients both on- and off-reserve.

Through the MCH Program, families have access to a range of resources and supports, including:

  • Prenatal and postnatal care coordination
  • Parenting support and early childhood development resources
  • Referrals to health professionals and community services
  • Culturally appropriate education and guidance
